About the Event
All Region Auditions, which are scheduled for Saturday, October 21st at Irving High School, located at 900 North O'Connor Road, Irving, Texas 75061.
Please be aware that students are responsible for their transportation to and from the audition venue. Kindly ensure that your child has a reliable means of getting to Irving High School on time.
Audition times have already been posted on Google Classroom, so I recommend checking the schedule to confirm your child's designated time.
To help your child prepare effectively for the auditions, they should consider bringing the following items: a foldable music stand, a water bottle, and a pencil. Additionally, encourage them to get a good night's rest the evening before the audition. Cramming is not an effective strategy for auditions, so I advise against it. Instead, students should practice their excerpts slowly and attentively, focusing on correcting any little mistakes. Imagine yourself in front of the panel all week long as you polish the etudes and/or excerpts.
For dress code, the event is casual. We recommend our orchestra polo or something similar as appropriate attire. Please keep in mind that warm-up areas can sometimes be on the cooler side, so dressing appropriately for the audition is essential.
Your continued support is invaluable to our students' musical journey. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the All Region Auditions or any other related matters, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you for your support, and we wish all our students the best of luck at the auditions!
